Subsequent mentoring sessions focus on areas or tasks that we’ve determined, as well as ones that might bubble up during sessions. And, if I sense other areas or items would be helpful to explore, I will suggest these as well.

If we’re a good fit, then we will set up your first session. I offer 60- and 90- minute sessions. I’ll recommend both the time length and number of sessions I feel would be helpful to you/your goals and intentions. Mentoring here is personalized and customized to each person. Ultimately you decide what will work for you.

There is no one-size-fits all template in these sessions. Because everyone’s needs and goals are different.
Some people arrive:
needing clarity around their purpose, others feel stuck on one or more marketing items,
while another might feel unhappy with their offerings and not sure where to put their focus.
Many are afraid of and get hung up around making money for spiritually-oriented services.

The common denominators I’ve noticed in those who work with me: they all have a curiosity and willingness to explore more than simply the nuts and bolts of being in business. They are willing to dig deeper than all their to-dos and templated marketing plans to get to the underlayment of who they are deep down, why they are doing what they are doing, and what might be holding them back. They embrace the reflection needed to see what might have been unknown to them — and then are willing to transform any resistances and sticking points.
Ultimately, they seek actionable, practical items they can fully get behind and do in order for them to be in business and service to others in ways that feel perfect, whole, and real to them.

Naomi Rose is a book developer and creative midwife who helps women write the books of their heart.
In her own words, she, “guides woman over 50, healers, creatives, and spiritual seekers to unearth their gifts and give them to the world in the form of a book.”
She created her own process called “Writing from the Deeper Self”: “a soulful, process-based approach to writing a book that connects you with your unique, creative ways by . . . listening together …”
I’ve known Naomi for over a decade, so when she asked if she could hire me as her business mentor, I was surprised and delighted. She became a client after having worked over the years with multiple business coaches and guides, both online and through SCORE volunteers. Though they were all experts in one way or another, she shared, ”None of them really got who I am. This left me to my own devices, trying to make myself follow their scripts — join Facebook groups, further define my ‘brand,’ consider giving public talks, and so on. Eventually, I would just lose heart and stop working with them, seeing their approach to my situation as further proof that ‘I’m just not good at marketing, and I don’t even really want to do it’.”
After our first session, I sensed that while Naomi was no stranger to listening to her clients, she wasn’t fully used to being listened to by others around her work in a way that was meaningful and helpful to her. And as importantly, she wasn’t listening to, or trusting, herself.
Through our sessions together I asked careful, considered questions around what she felt was holding her back in her work in general and her outreach efforts in particular. And out of that, came some revelatory answers for her to contemplate on her own and for us together to use to guide her way forward in a way that she could get behind wholeheartedly.
So what changed for Naomi in working this way?
She didn’t feel squished into a template or a spreadsheet of “to-dos” at the expense of her own authenticity. Why? Because we intentionally paid deep and respectful attention to who she was, where I listened to the underlay of what she was really saying and where old stories and wounds were tripping her up. Out of that, she —with some help — looked at these areas and deconstructed her conviction that she must turn herself into someone she was not in order to get her business and herself out in the world. Together, we aligned a few efforts with who she really is. And the result?

In process with a website professional to rework and enhance her website for a better user experience, with updated content and offerings. Hiring a web developer — something she’s been hesitant to do, feeling that she had to do everything herself — has given her some much-longed-for freedom to work on the creative aspects of growing her offerings — and her revenue and reach.
Launching three new group offerings in January 2025, thus stepping more fully into group work, an area she’s been resistant to embrace fully. While still staying within her “safe” comfort zone of 1:1 client work, Naomi is now moving into a “one to many” approach.
Even more confident about her deeper purpose and eager to bring the work out in a way that will speak to her ideal clients and will also be true to who she is, to her being.

By our “definition,” a spiritual solopreneur is someone who runs their business independently, bringing their whole heart and soul into every aspect of their work.
Unlike traditional business owners or even conscious entrepreneurs, they weave spirituality and perhaps even their own spiritual practice seamlessly into their business offerings - there's little separation between their spiritual life and their work life.

No. The Meet-Up, our monthly online membership community, is for those who would like additional support and more accountability. It’s also for those who desire to be in community and in dedicated working space in order to get “stuff” done in that gathering time.

We say midlife and beyond because this seems to be the age ranges most attracted to what we offer. Many who seek us out are woman, too.
And since we’re in both these demographics (midlife + and female), it’s just a good fit.

No. Each solopreneur’s need is different. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Mentoring sessions are personalized and highly customized. When we meet for a discovery call, we’ll see what you need. Most clients require at least three sessions in order to see some tangible results.
I will offer my suggestion based upon your needs and goals, but ultimately the choice is yours.

Yes — and no! Yes, in that if you’re in business you need to do some form of marketing to connect with those who need and want what you’re offering. As well as to grow your business. And I happen to geek out around marketing and continue to learn around this topic both in study and in practice.
No, in that the mentoring is not only around marketing. These sessions are more nuanced and really are informed by what is going on with and in you, in BOTH your business and around working in your business.

To become a member, you would need to meet a few basic requirements: have a business either up and running or an idea in process; be aged in the middle & beyond groups; and come with an open, curious mind and heart.
